Provox Life Oxygen: Supporting Every Breath
Humidified Oxygen Delivery for Laryngectomy Patients
Provox Life Oxygen is an innovative adaptor designed to connect seamlessly with all Provox Life HMEs and attachments, enabling the delivery of humidified supplemental oxygen without disrupting your patient’s Provox Life routine.
Optimising Pulmonary Health and Quality of Life
Evidence demonstrates that the Provox Life system supports optimal pulmonary health in patients following total laryngectomy.¹,² Establishing a consistent pulmonary care routine from day one is crucial for long-term respiratory health, achieving a better voice, and improved quality of life.
Provox Life Oxygen allows patients requiring supplemental oxygen to benefit from the full Provox Life system immediately post-surgery, promoting continuity of care and consistent use after hospital discharge.
Product compatibility to allow adherence to Provox Life HMEs* and Adhesives (incl. LaryButton/LaryTube)

Design Innovation: Oxygen Deflector Technology
The Provox Life Oxygen adaptor features an innovative oxygen deflector engineered to deliver humidified oxygen effectively while preserving the ability to choose from the full range of Provox Life HMEs and attachments.
The oxygen deflector directs incoming oxygen upward through the HME, allowing it to collect and deliver moisture before inhalation, helping maintain effective humidification.

Respiratory Cycle Demonstration: Oxygen Pathway Using Provox Life Home HME
The video shows the oxygen distribution pathway in the respiratory cycle with Provox Life Home HME attached to the device
Conditions: Tidal volume: 500 ml, respiratory rate: 15 breaths/min, O2 flow rate: 6 l/min
Preserving and Enhancing Humidification Performance
To evaluate the humidifying efficiency of the system, five Provox Life HMEs were tested under three conditions:

Humidification moisture loss of HMEs and Provox Life Oxygen Supplying O2
Tested according to ISO 9360-1:2000, test condition 3:tidal volume: 500ml
Respiratory rate: 15breaths/min
Note: Figures for moisture loss of "HME only, no O2" not the same as those in Provox Life HME IFU, since it is tested using different test conditions (tidal volumes)
